SZE CHUAN CUISINE is located in Chicago Chinatown, a famous Chinese community. Four calligraphy characters are written on the gate of Chinatown, they are “Tian Xia Wei Gong” (天下為公) by Dr. Sun Yat-Sen’s, meaning “All is equal under Heaven”. We believe it expressed Dr. Sun’s desire for freedom — no matter where, no matter when, the piece of blue sky above us is our own, and we can breathe freely, and fly big!
SZE CHUAN CUISINE (2414 S Wentworth Ave, Chicago, IL 60616) is in close vicinity to Dr. Sun’s “All is equal under Heaven” signage. We specialize in Sze Chuan cuisine that dates back to ancient states of Ba and Shu, the Period of Spring and Autumn, as well as West Song. Sze Chuan cuisine is one of the eight major cuisines in China, a staple on dinner tables and banquets. Both classical and contemporary styles are colorful and fantastic in taste.
